Ombar Strawberries & Cream bar is a delicious and nutritious way to enjoy chocolate. To flavour the bar, Ombar have used real strawberry. To get it into the bar, the strawberries have been freeze dried and ground into a powder. Unlike sugar rich, fatty chocolate bars, Ombar is different – containing only natural ingredients and is not greasy to the touch.The Strawberries & Cream Bar is sweetened with coconut sugar. This is not the same as cane sugar, it is low GI which is better than agave nectar. The main ingredient of this chocolate, the cacao bean is recognised as a fantastic superfood. It is believed to have many beneficial properties such as improving your mood and increasing your energy levels. Most importantly it contains flavonoids, which have many antioxidant properties.

Healthy Chocolate

The ingredients in this Strawberry Ombar are simple and honest. It’s made from high quality Ecuadorian cacao, processed at very low temperatures in order to retain all the nutritional qualities of raw chocolate. This raw chocolate is naturally rich in anti-oxidants.

To flavour the bar, Ombar have used real strawberry. To get it into the bar, the strawberries have been freeze dried and ground into a powder. To make the bars sweeter, Ombar use coconut blossom sugar. This sugar is not like normal sugar. It is made from coconut palm sap. When stirred over heat, the sap begins to crystallise. This sugar is used in this unrefined form and is very low on the Glycemic Index (35GI). This is even lower than agave nectar, and won’t give you a huge sugar rush.

This particular Ombar also contains lactobacillus rhamnosus which is a natural probiotic (friendly bacteria). Probiotics can help with digestive discomfort and bloating. Having probiotics present in the chocolate doesn’t affect the flavour in any way, so their being there is only a good thing!
