ITS OFFICIAL: Raw Superfoods will leave the Noordermarkt at the end of this month!
WOW. What an amazing experience to be part of the Amsterdam/NL community in this way for the last 14 YEARS! From being the FIRST with wheatgrass, the FIRST with raw chocolate, to being a PIONEER in the whole Superfood trend as well frontline promoter of Raw Food lifestyle.
To seeing the Raw Food scene slowly rise, from being quite underground pre-2010, to hitting mainstream awareness in 2011 and 2012 and slowly dispersing and morphing into a broader health scene since then.
The Noordermarkt has been a very special spot for the business and for me personally, as a place for meeting and keeping in touch with contacts and friends, and for advising and supporting people in their healthy lifestyle journey. We also get to meet tourists from all over the world which is a real nice bonus too.
All this said, I feel like I’ve achieved what I set out to do there, and reviewing the changes in the industry and in the marketplace (farmers market as well as broadly speaking), this seems like a super time to redefine goals and SIMPLIFY the business.
In the immediate future this means less attention for live events and markets.
What can you expect from now on?
